Children from Reception to Year 5 had the opportunity to bake together today.

Reception children made chocolate nests from cornflakes and maltesers. They melted the chocolate and then mixed in the cornflakes.  Once the mixture had begun to set they placed maltesers on top to represent the eggs in the nest.  They learnt about melting and cooling as well as enjoying a delicious treat!

Year 1 to 5 children independently made chocolate chip cookies. They had to weigh out each ingredient and follow the instructions carefully. Team leaders from Year 4 led each group very well.
